Zig-Zag: The Paths of Robert Burns

This is the launch of a major touring exhibition to mark the 250th anniversary of Burns' birth. The exhibition brings together treasures from the National Burns Collections, and shows the ways in which Burns made a name for himself.

You'll be able to see iconic items, like manuscripts of Auld Lang Syne and Tam O'Shanter and a rare first edition of Burns' first published work. The exhibition examines the work of the man and the legend that Burns became. Using pictures, sound and the poet's own words you can see how he consciously began to create his own myth.

Come along and discover a man who
knew how to make a name for himself
